Incredible India

I know there are still few days left for Republic day, but what to do? I am getting really patriotic and so I am just not able to stop raving about my great and beloved homeland. I am a true Indian by heart, including my love for bright colors, spicy food and having a loud, warm and cheerful personality. 🙂 I always dream about visiting various exotic places of India and exploring its innumerable colors myself.

Geographically India is divided into five major regions: Northern, Southern, Western, Eastern and Central India. The main problem with Indians is that very few people prefer to explore another region apart from their own; as they all feel that when they can visit some foreign country in much lesser price, then why they should spend that money on visiting yet another Indian city/state. The temptation of having yet another stamp on our passports is almost always, way too irresistible.

But friends, have you ever seen any other such diversified culture with almost 347 spoken languages, geographical conditions ranging from beaches to plains to hills to deserts all at one place? And apart from that which has thousands of ancient temples with truly remarkable pieces of architecture on one side and grandiose of royal palaces on the other hand? When people from such rich heritage spend thousands of bucks to visit some other foreign places, which offers them nothing except humid environment and an exposure to red-light areas; it looks downright stupid. Don’t you agree?

India is such a big and diverse country. It is often called as a “Land of Contrasts”. It provides everything from a picturesque location, to deep, strong and ancient culture, to peaceloving and innocent people, to exotic and serene beaches. It can also be a spiritual destination, an escape from fast-paced life, can bring you down to nature and sooo on…. the list is endless. The truth is that India is beautiful, rich and poor, diverse beyond belief, a total and often overwhelming assault on the senses.

Whenever I look at these pics, I don’t know why but I always get a different feeling in the pit of my stomach. My mind and my heart sing together that Nature is so great. There is so much of beauty all around. I feel like a small and worthless dot amongst all these larger than life scenarios. And suddenly, I feel so proud and something moves in my heart and a tear roll down on my cheeks and I am just able to say “Indeed, Incredible India!” I love you much and I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful esteemed and ancient heritage. <3 u! 🙂
